Anyone else automatically have the song from Camp Rock 2 playing in their head when reading the title of this? I watched that movie when it premiered on Disney channel, and the one song I actually like—no irony involved—is that adorable serenade by Nick Jonas. I think of it every time I’m faced with any kind of introduction scenario, such as this post.
I’ve been hesitant to write this, mainly due to the unnecessary pressure I put on myself for it to be something exceptional; a very unrealistic goal, especially considering this a just a single blog post on a website that my family are the only people likely to visit. Still, I wanted to come up with some brilliant topic to start off my new blog.
That was too difficult.
So, instead, I found a list of get-to-know-you questions on a website (quizbreaker.com/get-to-know-you-questions) and I’m going to answer the top ten.
What are you the proudest of? I wrote an entire book. It’s not published yet, although I hope it will be one day, but I am immensely proud that I created an entire world in my head and managed to make it into an actual novel.
What are the best and worst purchases you have ever made? My computer is the best purchase, hands down. I was anxious about the cost at the time, but it has been SO worth it. As for the worst… maybe mugs? I keep trying to buy cute mugs for friends and family online and they’re always broken upon arrival. You’d think I’d learn, but I currently have another one in my cart on Etsy… oops.
How do you prefer to end your day? Hanging out in the living room with my family. Many times this means all of us sitting on the couches, staring at our individual devices. Even then, it’s nice.
What’s something I would never guess about you? I have a master’s degree (that I am currently not using and the loans of which I will be paying off for what feels like the rest of my life). Also, that I’m old enough to have a master’s degree. People always assume I’m younger than I am. Always.
What are three words that best describes you? Awkward…and…uh… I hate this question. Let’s move on.
If you could win an Olympic medal for any sport, real or fake, what would it be? Tennis, maybe? It’s the only sport I was ever any good at in high school (since I sucked at every sport I played, this doesn’t mean much; I was a theatre kid through and through). If reading could be counted for a sport, though, then I’d get a gold medal for sure.
If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be? Tap dancing. I own a pair of tap shoes, kindly gifted to me by my sister, that I never get to use because I don’t know how. During the first few weeks of quarantine when everything was cancelled and I had extra time, I attempted to teach myself tap dancing by watching youtube videos. Needless to say, it didn’t go very well; it is clear to me that I need professional help.
Where do you most want to visit in the world? As cliche as it sounds, the place I generally want to visit the most is Disney World. I have a lot of friends who live in Orlando who I’d like to visit, and I’m also a sucker for the magic (and the ice cream). Otherwise, I’ve recently been watching a fair amount of anime and reading Korean webcomics, so a trip to East Asia would be incredible.
What’s one hobby you’d love to get into? Running. I’m not sure if it counts as a hobby, but I’ve always wanted to be a runner who gets lots of medals for marathons and the like. Only problem is, I hate the actual running part. But the aesthetic of it seems nice (see the stock photos below for said aesthetic).
What’s your most hated household chore? Laundry. I don’t get why. It would take very little time and effort if I stayed on top of it. Yet, I always put it off until I’m down to the clothes my family no longer recognizes.
Well, that’s it for my first post. Maybe you learned something, or maybe you’re my family laughing at my pathetic attempts at blogging. Either way, I’m glad you got something out of it. And answering those questions wasn’t as bad as I thought, so maybe I’ll add another one at the end of every future post until I’ve answered all 100… I’ll think about it.
Until then, thanks for reading all the way to the bitter end; and may you find your towel, if, like me, you seemed to have misplaced it.

Nice post! Come to think of it, I don’t think I recognize what you are wearing right now.
